Avec son court roman \u00e9rotique \u00ab Schleim \u00bb (fr.: Mucus), Sandra Manther aborde un sujet rarement trait\u00e9 dans la repr\u00e9sentation de la sexualit\u00e9 f\u00e9minine : le rejet physique, le malaise, le silence. Son texte n’est pas un simple fantasme, mais une exploration entre le d\u00e9sir et le d\u00e9go\u00fbt, entre le contact physique et la perte de soi. On a discut\u00e9 avec l’auteure de la honte, de la sensualit\u00e9 et du pouvoir des contacts inhabituels.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madame Manther, vous avez donn\u00e9 \u00e0 votre nouveau livre un titre que beaucoup associent \u00e0 la r\u00e9pulsion : \u00ab Schleim \u00bb<\/em>. Pourquoi ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandra Manther :<\/strong> Justement pour \u00e7a. Parce que ce mot provoque tout de suite une r\u00e9action \u2013 un froncement de sourcils, un d\u00e9go\u00fbt int\u00e9rieur. Pourtant, le mucus, c’est quelque chose de quotidien. Quelque chose de profond\u00e9ment physique. Dans la sexualit\u00e9 \u2013 surtout f\u00e9minine \u2013, il est toujours l\u00e0, mais presque jamais visible dans le langage. Et quand c’est le cas, c’est comme quelque chose qui doit \u00eatre \u00e9limin\u00e9. Je me suis demand\u00e9 ce qui se passerait si on ne l’excluait pas, mais qu’on le mettait au centre de l’attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au fil de l’histoire, votre protagoniste Stella perd ses r\u00e9ticences face \u00e0 cette physicalit\u00e9. Qu’est-ce qui la caract\u00e9rise en tant que personnage ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandra Manther :<\/strong> Comme beaucoup, Stella a int\u00e9rioris\u00e9 l’id\u00e9e que le d\u00e9sir doit avant tout \u00eatre contr\u00f4l\u00e9, propre et harmonieux. Mais son corps ne suit pas. Il r\u00e9agit l\u00e0 o\u00f9 elle ne veut rien. Il produit l\u00e0 o\u00f9 elle a honte. Ce n’est pas une pathologie. C’est la r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Je voulais cr\u00e9er un personnage qui ne r\u00e9solve pas tout de suite ces contradictions, mais qui les supporte. Qui affronte le d\u00e9go\u00fbt au lieu de le faire dispara\u00eetre par une th\u00e9rapie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans une sc\u00e8ne particuli\u00e8rement impressionnante, Stella rencontre son propre d\u00e9sir \u00e0 travers… des escargots. \u00c7a peut para\u00eetre bizarre au premier abord.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandra Manther :<\/strong> (rit) Oui, c’\u00e9tait aussi mon intention. Je voulais un animal qui ne soit pas agressif. Qui ne \u00ab fasse \u00bb pas de sexualit\u00e9, mais qui bouge simplement. Lentement. Humidement. Sans jugement. Pour moi, l’escargot est presque l’antith\u00e8se de tout ce qu’on associe \u00e0 la sexualit\u00e9 : pas de regard, pas d’objectif, pas d’esth\u00e9tique. Et c’est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment pour \u00e7a qu’il met quelque chose en mouvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Votre texte est tr\u00e8s explicite, mais en m\u00eame temps tendre, presque sobre. Comment avez-vous trouv\u00e9 cet \u00e9quilibre ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandra Manther :<\/strong> Je ne voulais pas exciter, mais prendre au s\u00e9rieux. Ne pas tomber dans la vulgarit\u00e9, mais ne pas non plus dissimuler. Mon objectif \u00e9tait de montrer le corps f\u00e9minin dans toute sa complexit\u00e9, sans le juger. Donc pas de jugements comme \u00ab beau \u00bb, \u00ab sexy \u00bb, \u00ab parfait \u00bb, mais plut\u00f4t : qu’est-ce qu’il y a ? Comment \u00e7a se sent ? Comment la peau r\u00e9agit \u00e0 l’humidit\u00e9, les muscles \u00e0 la tension, une vulve \u00e0 la chaleur ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qu’esp\u00e8res-tu que les lectrices et lecteurs retirent de \u00ab Schleim \u00bb ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandra Manther :<\/strong> Peut-\u00eatre le courage de ne pas chercher constamment \u00e0 corriger son propre corps. Peut-\u00eatre aussi l’envie de s’\u00e9couter soi-m\u00eame, pas seulement de mani\u00e8re cognitive, mais aussi sensorielle. Et dans le meilleur des cas, la conscience que m\u00eame quelque chose qui semble d\u00e9go\u00fbtant peut \u00eatre une porte vers l’intimit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
